ROUND

ROUND(number, [digits])

Rounds a number to a number of decimal places, such as a % complete to a whole percent. Halves round away from zero, as in Excel: 2.5 becomes 3 and -2.5 becomes -3. It rounds numbers only, so a duration is turned into days or hours first with INDAYS or INHOURS.

Arguments

ArgumentWhat to give it
numberA number. A blank gives a blank.
digitsOptional, 0 when left out. The decimal places to keep: 1 keeps one, and a negative count rounds to tens (-1), hundreds (-2) and so on.

Examples

Formula
=ROUND(INDAYS([Total float]), 1)

The task's float in working days, to one decimal place.

Formula on WBS rows
=ROUND(AVERAGE(Tasks[% complete]), 0)

On a WBS row: the average % complete of the tasks under the node, as a whole percent.

=ROUND([Budgeted units] * [Hourly rate], -2)

On an assignment: its cost to the nearest hundred.

Common questions

What does "ROUND rounds numbers; for a duration use ROUND(INDAYS(…))" mean?

A duration is working time, not a number of anything until you say what to count. Count it in working days with INDAYS, or in hours with INHOURS, then round.

The editor refuses this
=ROUND([Duration], 0)
